Disrupted by serious inter-ethnical conflict in his hometown, at the age of 18 he started to search relevant means that can break the confusion, anger and hostility among people. “There had to be a better, smarter, more peaceful way of living” he would continuously say to himself. So, as youth activist in student association, he organized international student camps, scientific debates and he has established the local branch of European youth network. The objective was to unite, instead of tearing apart, thus learning, growing and building. He has reached his objective!
Next, becoming leader of the Hungarian political party in Romania at 24, it gave him the opportunity to break and change the rules again: reframing the internal structures in a more productive and transparent way, provide trainings, professionalism, campaign management and international relations. The objective was: to break inefficiency cycle and make good measurable things happen. He has reached his objectives.
Next, as the youngest Minister for IT&C in Europe, he succeeded historical change in the Romanian telecom market by increasing quality & competition and dropping prices, leaving as legacy eGovernment strategy, ghiseul.ro, fastest internet access in Europe, elimination of the “duopole” by bringing a third mobile operator, digitalize rural area, restructure and privatize the Romanian Post on the Stock Exchange and enlist Romtelecom.
The overall objective: progress & transparency, to be upthere instead of down there… He had 7 objectives here: he has reached 5 of them. Last two were politically untouchable and he paid a price for this idealistic dream: an unfair out of this world 8 years trial, more than 2 years in jail and no legal arguments till this day, plus 7 constitutional definitive decisions proving that this should not happen to him!!
Next, as entrepreneur and business leader from 2007, he had to reinvent himself. And break another cycle. This time…his own. The business world, international negotiations, the market of luxury hospitality and real-estate industry, but most importantly the national and international trust all showed towards him are major part of his continuous growth. The common trait in all these phases: ONE: to break inefficient cycles and make that place a better, valuable and relevant one. Though both disruption and common sense, by both empowering people and driving results. What can be more valuable than this?
