Dávid Botond

Photographer

10:50 – 11:10

Dávid Botond was born into a family which has been photographing since the fourth generation. It all started with his father, Sándor Dávid’s contribution to the publication of a bilingual ethnographic book entitled "Port popular – Népviselet" (EN: Folk costumes), which presents the traditional costumes of Harghita County. 33 years later, in 2012, Botond started to continue this work: re-photographing the still-existing costumes in the county with modern digital equipment, continuing with photographing the traditional costumes still found and still worn in other counties, and regions. His work named The Geofolk project, which was awarded the European Citizen's Prize in 2021 is currently the world's largest folk costume photo collection.

Zichó Viktor

Extreme Athlete & Sustainability Expert

11:10 – 11:30

My passions are rock climbing, mountaineering, bike touring, photography, and videography. I consider myself lucky that these activities can be beautifully combined. In 2018, I made a radical decision in my life, putting adventure and sustainability at the forefront. Since then, I have been living my life in a way that allows me to fully devote myself to my passions while also giving as much as I can to others. In my view, special achievements and outstanding expeditions truly have meaning only if they can inspire others or offer something valuable to society.

Dull Szabolcs

Journalist, political analyst, lawyer

12:50 – 13:10

I’ve been involved in politics as a journalist for 17 years, and currently I analyze political processes through my own newsletter and podcast. As the former editor-in-chief of Index and one of the founders and editors-in-chief of Telex, I’ve always considered it important to better understand the world around us and to help others do the same. I teach journalism at ELTE, and I also provide media training for company executives. The goal of all these activities is the same: to support proper information access and conscious news consumption; to encourage a responsible understanding of public life, media, and politics; and to contribute to a deeper understanding of the processes unfolding around us.
