One of the most acclaimed voices in contemporary Romanian jazz, Luiza Zan captivates audiences with her versatility, stylistic precision, and distinctive vocal expression. She first attracted international attention in 2004, when she won second prize for the second consecutive year at the Montreux Jazz Voice Competition, followed by a first-place finish at the Cerbul de Aur festival with the band Slang. Throughout her career, Luiza Zan has explored a wide range of musical formats—from intimate duos to collaborations with big bands—moving naturally across diverse styles and artistic directions.
